The rhubarb is prepared in three different ways. This broadens the guest’s knowledge of rhubarbs variety in taste, depending on its preparation style, as well as using the whole fruit, reducing no waste. Elderflower is a strong component standing against the sourness, with its sweetness. And the uncommon use of sorrel in dishes delivers a unique and surprising experience of how weed out of the garden can contribute to a dish.


Environmental support

Rhubarb is delivered from Sligro without plastic. Further, Sligro sources from local and organically farmers, who do not use pesticide. Pesticide can be toxic to organisms like birds, beneficial insects, and non-target plants (Aktar et al., 2009).

Products bought from Sligro are traceable since it is stated from which farmer, they source their products.


Regional & seasonal

Rhubarb is harvested in spring until summer and therefore fulfils the seasonal aspect. Fruits and vegetables at Sligro are mostly sourced from local farmers, therefore short transportation ways are in place and the carbon footprint is reduced.


Natural & nutritional  

Rhubarb is an excellent source for Vitamin K, responsible for bone health and blood flow. With its gentle preparation (grilled), it does not lose its natural state.
